Council Decree on Julycanthropy

Originally named in honour of Gaius Julias Caesar of Rome by the Senate of Rome, July of the Gregorian calendar is the seventh month of the year and marks the first full month of the summer season. The month hosts many holidays and celebrations throughout the globe, but it is especially significant to Werewolves due to its unique position in the middle of the year. As a celebration of Werewolves and Werewolf Culture, Julycanthropy is about balance between all things—especially the duality of wolf and human within us—where extreme on either side of one’s nature should be reflected upon and brought back into alignment.

The Council urges all Werewolves to take this time to celebrate the majesty, power, and history of Werewolf Culture and the accomplishments of your fellow Werewolves! Use the celebration this month to reflect upon the last year and identify areas of improvement and growth. Now is the time to be proud of who and what you are; to revel in yourself, your friends, and your family; to reconnect with nature and the world around you away from screens, gadgets, and machines; and to explore the areas in which you wish to push yourself to grow in the coming year.

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority of the Council Immortal, we hereby decree on this day, the First of July in the year Two Thousand & Twenty Two, the month of July shall be officially renamed recognised as Julycanthropy in honour of the Werewolf. Celebrate the Glory of Werewolves!

This is Werewolf Law.
